Abu Huraira fortalte: Profeten sagde: "Den, der ikke opgiver falsk tale og onde handlinger, har ikke brug for, at opgive sin mad og drikke for Allah."
Engelsk:
Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet (?) said, "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of
his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)"
Arabisk:
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ الزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ فِي أَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ ".

Abu Bakr fortalte, at Profeten sagde: "Skal jeg ikke fortælle jer om den største synd?" Han gentog dette tre gange. De sagde: "Ja, O Allahs Sendebud." Han sagde: "At sætte partnere ved Allahs side og være ulydig mod sine forældre." Han satte sig derefter op, efter at have lænet sig tilbage, og sagde: "Og falsk tale." Han blev ved med at gentage det, indtil vi sagde: 'Vi ville ønske, han ville stoppe.'

Narrated Abu Bakra:The Prophet (?) said thrice, "Should I inform you out the greatest of the great sins?" They said, "Yes, O
Allahs Messenger (?)!" He said, "To join others in worship with Allah and to be undutiful to ones parents."
The Prophet (?) then sat up after he had been reclining (on a pillow) and said, "And I warn you against
giving a false witness, and he kept on saying that warning till we thought he would not stop. (See

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَلاَ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ ". ثَلاَثًا. قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. قَالَ " الإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ". وَجَلَسَ وَكَانَ مُتَّكِئًا فَقَالَ " أَلاَ وَقَوْلُ الزُّورِ ". قَالَ فَمَا زَالَ يُكَرِّرُهَا حَتَّى قُلْنَا لَيْتَهُ سَكَتَ. وَقَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ.
